Electricity Ashburton
Electricity Ashburton is a cooperatively owned electricity lines company that distributes electricity to an area between the Rangitata River in the south, the Rakaia River in the north and the foothills of the Southern Alps in the west.
In addition to its electricity distribution and electrical contracting activities, the company has commenced the construction of a fibre-based broadband communications infrastructure that will encompass all of mid-Canterbury.
